What customers say?

“ My spouse and I came to visit this place before the Texas Womens Basketball Game & we couldnt have picked a better place. We were instantly greeted with a big welcome the moment we walked in. The gentleman who took our order was super nice! The environment gave very family oriented and comfortable. They also had a saxophonist playing the good vibes. The food was a 8.5/10 no complaints at all! I love how they have $4 mimosas specials on Sunday. We ended up getting the mimosa bucket and had a nice relaxing buzz right before the game. We will be coming back again. ”

“ Amazing experience! We met the owner, Brandon, who was so kind and welcoming. The chicken and waffles were perfectly crispy and fluffy, and the fried shrimp tacos were full of flavor. Great food and great people, can’t wait to come back! ”

“ I had an amazing experience at Austin’s Very Own Saltt! The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming—perfect for a relaxed meal with a touch of local charm. I ordered the chicken and waffles, and it was absolutely exceptional. The chicken was perfectly crispy and seasoned just right, while the waffles were fluffy and full of flavor. You can tell everything is made with care. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more of the menu. Highly recommend! ”

“ I am so happy Saltt exists here now! We need more chill places like this that serve great food at decent prices. Walking in, you instantly relax with the awesome R&B, 70-80 feel good music playing. You order at the counter and find your seat and they bring the food to you. The hosts are so friendly and patient. The food is delicious and wow, so plentiful. You will not go hungry at Saltt. Hubby finished his entire shrimp & grits and he rarely finishes an entire plate of food - it must’ve been good! My grilled catfish was delicious- but the standout for me was the side of shrimp fried rice! How they put so much flavor into fried rice is amazing. I paired my meal with a pint of Electric Jellyfish which was only $7– that’s probably the cheapest I’ve ever seen it at a restaurant. This is such a jewel - if you love seafood, you must try Saltt! ”

“ The catfish was fried perfectly and had a spice that left your lips tingling. The fries were the perfect crispness. Highly recommend their signature drink, Brown Sugar. Will definitely return. ”

“ I’ve been wanting to try this restaurant for some time now. Finally went last night, and oh my goodness!!! I’ve been to many black owned restaurants from Austin, Houston, Atlanta, South Carolina. This was the BEST I’ve ever tasted hands down. Every single thing I tasted was to die for. I’ve never had chicken that tasted so thoroughly seasoned using just salt and pepper? Granted it’s not just regular salt & pepper, they use Asian spices. I’ve quite literally never tasted a better turtle cheesecake in my life. Their house made jalapeño ranch is just insane. We walked in late. The owners (husband & wife duo) were so nice and accommodating. They made time to take one more order at closing (I thought they closed at 10). And you already know it was squeaky clean. I appreciated the artsy decor, the music was amazing. I simply can’t rant and rave about this place enough, and I cannot wait to go back! I want to try everything! Don’t walk, run if you’re in the area. I’ll be back myself next week! ”
